Although, I’ve heard that sage-eating sheep can be a bit different.

I shot an antelope out in the sage brush country, very, very tasty. Its a long wait for that draw and I have more than enough points to do it again but, sadly just not enough time.
I had the pleasure of eating stones sheep back straps the last two years as my life long friends son passes through GP to access the BC north, also very tasty. Sheep taste more like antelope than high mountain mulie imo. To be honest, I have had very little overly gamy meet. I am careful around all glands and pee areas and I don’t hang anything by the back legs unless I am just gonna skin it out and immediately quarter and put in the cooler or taken to the butcher. Some people thing deer is dog food, I just love it, especially early season.

If the world is warming why are there so many new snowflakes?

If we are all equal why do you demand special treatment?

You can not comply your way out of tyranny.

Thank you Arctic. I have a few difficult honey holes that don’t seem to get hunted so some of the game seem to be able to get some age to them. This bull was actually still very good eating. Believe it or not probably about 4-5 years old, just a big ass body.

Happy to have a 7x7 finally and have the experience with my son and BIL.

Stone meat is delicious just don’t hoard it as it doesn’t seem to age well in the deep freeze. I’ve had tenderloins turn to absolute mush.

Training as much as I can in case I get the call. No mountains to train on but I have stairs in the house.
Our sheep team has unfinished business in the mountains

Wide ram was 41 1/4” and the other ram was 39 3/4”.
Both small-based sheep in the 13” range.

My 2022 muley buck. Shot last day of any buck season in region 3. I can't find my better photo of the after, hopefully it's on my backup drive. He is a proper 4 points on his left side. It was a bitch to climb out of the basin I dropped in to get him. It took me almost an hour to cover the 200 meters back up to the rim with a 123 pound pack full of deer.
