5-14 Bull Moose

Anyone in the area of 5-14 have info on camping spots??? Been hunting since I was 12 but have never left the Island til this year since we got a bull moose draw for October.. Will be leaving on the 19th and there for 10 days.. Picked up a backroads mapbook and been checking google earth but would appreciate any info you can share on where to find em up there...

Have a look at Raven Lake, good area.

Lip.. that was definitely one place high on our list for camping... Is the hunting pretty decent in the area as well?
Can you get a tent trailer into there easily as we will probably be renting one on the mainland to haul up so we don't have to sleep in our tent..

I would be doing my best to be there during the first rut...the 2nd rut is always a crap shoot, and you don't wanna be there in between as a lot of moose will just hole up and rest. But I understand that sometimes the dates are already decided for you...and nothing is written in stone. I wish you the best of luck.

Well from the LEH draw, I have from oct 15-31.. but cant get time off til 19th..

the roads get hunted pretty hard as the good old anahim reserve is just down the road, moose numbers are down but get away from the roads and you may be successful.

I heard that Raven Lake is a dandy moose hunting spot from a fella that goes there for years and his dad went there too. Raven Lake and we know ravens eat lots of meat out in the wilds, that's why they live there. I concur with Lips, a craven for Raven. Jelly ( Quick Tips ) for moose hunting spot that is supreemo .. Raven and no miss bee haven lol ... Gotta luv it.

Well, Raven is a pretty spot, we'll be there from Oct 14 to the end of the month for our draw. Good fishing lake, nice rainbows and brook trout.

Yup, Raven. Good camp spots, lots of firewood and good fishing. Only downside is the damn 4:00am logging trucks!

hmmm actually a better area than many would suspect..and really good brook trout fishing decent camping if a bit dusty.. as been said get off the main rds these moose are educated, because of the pressure and the moose are not evenly distributed...this area is more pocket areas, Im only a phone call away....
