Big Bull Trout!

Headed out yesterday for the first time to fish some bull trout in BC. We hit a couple spots and landed a few decent fish throughout the day. About 25 minutes before we were ready to leave, my buddy hammered this big brute of a fish!

One of the most impressive fish I've ever seen landed in person. He measured 84cm long and weighed in at 16.5lbs.

Yep. Very awesome day. Another 2 fish up to shore that were 6-8 lbs and then a couple smaller guys as well.

Nice fish! We used to get big buggers like that up in Williston lk this time of year or so, very fiesty and feeding about like sharks when the bite was on!

Congrats Trev... Thats something i enjoy every spring.. Couple of pictures of my Daughter and I from a couple weeks ago... around 12lbs. Caught 3 over ten, and many over 5 this year... The rainbows are coming up the rivers to spawn.. Always good fishing for them too in april early may..

You're half right....haha. We covered some good ground yesterday and for the most part we hit em in almost every spot we fished. Fun day out!

dang. nice fish. all this planning and scouting and hunting for spring bear i've totally forgotten about fishing. should be an ideal time for the squamish rivers too. will have to add that onto the hunt saturday and sunday.

Your only allowed to keep one over 75cm where we were. We didn't keep any and released em all.

Caught em on a couple different lures and soft bait. Mostly mimicking whitefish colors.
