i have been invited on a moose hunt for this october. A friend of a friend of mine has a cabin up region 7-26 and has invited us up for a hunt.
How is the game population up in this area? is it worth the long drive from the okanagan? there is a any bull moose season in 6-6 from the 20th-26th, will this be a little to late for the rut?
Im just looking for a little info to help me make my decision, thanx as always.....

Always worth the drive :)
As for the 6 any bull- never hunted it myself, but heard from others that have that it's an absolute gong show with hunters.

6-6 is a real busy place in the open season and the moose are usually deep in the bush.

Where is your buddies cabin in 26??
There is some good places in 26 that hold moose, the beetle logging and wolves have thinned the population down, but there is moose to be had.
PM me if you don't want to say where the cabin is. I lived, worked and hunted that area for 14 years. It was my go to spot for my tag.

The rut will still be on in 6-6 but there is a lot of pressure from other hunters
