Hey all,
Going up to our cabin in the 5-2, 5-15 area for the weekend coming up, to look for some mulie 4 pts. This is our first year in the area, and we have put in lots of time scouting, so we know roughly where we will go. Pretty new to hunting, and self taught, so just looking for some input. We always hear that that big deer are up high, and you have to wait for the snow to push them down. How much snow are we talking about? If our usual spots higher up have 6+ inches of snow, is it best to focus on the lower areas with less snow? Just trying to figure out how much snow it takes to actually get the deer moving down.
The Rut should be on, so the plan is to pull out the the calls and put theory into practice and see what happens!
Cheers,
