Just got back yesterday from your beautiful province with my 1st Billy Goat!! This was a gruelling hunt in respect to weather and the lack of any sort of trails leading out from camp (except the one we rode in on). The 8 1/2 hour ride in was rain all the way and we didin't get to camp till dark.
The snow covered mountains and low level clouds made goat hunting impossible the 1st day in but the sun appeared on day 3 and by day 7 I had my goat. We cleaned him up and then had to spend the night on the mountain due to darkness. Returning to camp the following day at 3:30 I found my 50 year old body was completely spent physically. The next morning we were up early and packed up camp and the horses and headed back to the truck. In the end it was a great trip with some trying times but it was all worth it!!!
Thanks BC!
