Todays show was one of the better hunts i have seen in quite a while. but what caught my attention is the round portable light he used at the end of the show due to filming in low light. I want one so i checked Cabelas and Wholesale Sports but with no luck. Does anybody know the name of this light and where i could purchase one.

I watched that show today also (just the end). Did that deer look sick at the end when they shot it? Like it was already shot?

the light is for photography specifically - fits around the lens. Can get them for DSLR, big shoulder mount motion picture cameras like they use or whatever.
Not sure about sick but maybe darn old. Kill what you can if you have sponsors to keep happy.

Was it a light ring that went around the camera lens?

If so, it's called a Ring Light. As said above, camera store.

I was really impressed how much light it produced. so i did some internet surfing and found the camera light rings are expensive and probably not waterproof. but on amazon they have a 48led light ring that is waterproof and cheap. here is the link and tell me what you think http://www.amazon.com/Round-Portable-Camping-LED-Lantern/dp/B001P4Q5QI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1331491345&sr=8-3.
