My Wife had a relative pass away earlier this week, she's going to be off to a funeral so I thought it best to get a quick oil change. I phoned around to a couple places and they were all around $50.
Great Canadian asked Make, Model, Turbo or non Turbo ( 2003 Volvo S60 ) They quoted me $44 plus taxes. My wife drives in yesterday and tells the kid " my Husband phoned ahead and was told $44 for a oil change with Petro Canada oil, is that right?" The guy says " ya that's right" They do the oil change and then tell her it's $56 plus tax because it takes a Volvo oil filter????
Last time they get my business. I called the manager this morning and he said Volvo's take a special filter that costs $12 more, I asked why didn't you tell me that when I called? He said the standard oil change is $44 but you drive a Volvo its more for the filter.
I always do my own oil changes but because of the short notice I didn't have time to do it, next time I'll try another place.
