Powell Lake Mountain Goats??

Just wondering if anyone on the site here has hunted Mountain Goat off Powell Lake (MU 2-12). If so maybe you have a story or some pictures you wouldn't mind sharing. I spent a lot of time as a kid on the lake and really enjoyed the mountain views. Id like to one day in the future go back there and try for a goat.

If anyone has anything to share that would be GREAT! :)

Hi Tristan - a guy I used to hunt with in Cumberland hunted over there a couple of years ago. He saw goats, but couldn't figure out how to get at them. Then again, he was by himself and although he's pretty outdoorsy, he hasn't done much mountain climbing, so route finding in complicated terrain isn't his strength. Someone else with different experience might have been able to get at them (he said so himself).

Goat Island itself is off limits, but I understand there are some goats up there. If you're going next year and need a partner, get in touch - it's definitely on my list of places to check out!
