how's the elk population around rock creek?
they are there but tend to be further up towards westbridge and they love hanging out on or near private land and access is almost impossible.
i've approached many of the landowners even offering my help on the farms for access and still got no for an answer.they weren't rude about it they just prefered to not allow anyone to avoid the mad rush's that would happen.
i did however com accross one nice gentalman that said they always hang out at his place during the late season cow hunt and if i ever got the draw he would certainly allow me access.
didnt get the draw this year, go figure huh

thanks for the info bruce. luckily for me I have access to a friends huge ranch down there. he always mention how the whitetails are a problem, gettin in his garden etc..so i think I'll head down in early Nov and help him out with that. I forgot to ask him if he has any elk there...perhaps I'll save that for next year.
