A few years ago my dad handed me down his set of Swarovski 8x30 binos. He bought them new in 1993 or 1994.

A few years passed, and finally the tubes started fogging... Sent them into Swaro and they replaced all the seals, eyecups and recharged the gas inside.

Just over a year later, the left tube started fogging up... Dammit!

Sent them in 4 weeks ago with a letter explaining the situation.

Today in the mail I received this!

And tucked nicely inside was this....

They sent me a brand spanking new pair of 8x30's nearly 15 years after the initial purchase (which wasn't even me)

Swaro Warranty Rocks!

Had a similar thing happen to me with bushnell, when I sent in a rifle scope. Its great to see companies honoring their products with great customer service.

Send To

Attention Garry Perry
Canadian Outdoor Distributing
9 Albert Street
Cobourg, Ontario K9A 2P7

Make sure you package them well, and include a short letter describing the issues. If they are fogging up they will most likely try to reseal the tubes, and recharge the gas... That repair only held for a year on my Binos, hence why I think they opted to replace it.

Kindermann is no longer the canadian distributor for Swarovski. Garry Perry, (used to work for Kindermann) now he's at Canadian Outdoor Distributing and they are the distributor.

Thats pretty darn nice Carl !

My buddy took mine out of his truck and put them on his front tire last fall...
$650 later ! Obviously self inflicted damage isnt covered
Still hasn't paid me for the repair yet though
Worse part was not having them for 3/4 of hunting season.
Unreal how handicapped you feel when you're used to glassing every few steps no matter where you are.

If swarovski is replacing binos for some people after driving them over and not others, they can blow me. I'm done suggesting them like I have in the past. Just like Meindl

I know from experience that back when it was Kindermann customer service was second to none. I Broke the foot off of the bottom of my Spotting scope just prior to elk season and they sent me a demo to use while they assessed the damage to mine.

Not sure when exactly, but you'd still be dealing with the same guy, as he went from Kindermann, to Canadian Outdoor Distributing. Not sure what went down.

I knew Werner from Kindermann pretty well at the time...as I was buying a lot of glass from them... plus bought three pairs for myself... so Maybe I had a decent dealing with him....

Had my EL's into Kinderman twice over the years then back to Europe to have them repaired.......first time the guy there held the order till my glasses got to Calgary so they could go out with that shipment. First class service in my books.

I purchases my ELs in 06 and last fall the focus went out? They were clear but you had to turn the focus knob all the way to the right to get them to clear up.
Took them back to Corlanes in DC and in 6 weeks or so they called me to pick up my binos,
Got there and it was a brand spanky new set..of 10x42EL
More than happy with everyones service..

I purchased an older remington .270 rifle with a leupold scope for $500,after a winter in the gun locker,I was unable to adjust the variable on the scope.I e-mailed leupold and they told me to return scope to repair center and two weeks later my parcel was returned with a new scope.
I stopped at the gun store on my way home and they told me it would sell for $900.
Great warranty and one of my better investments, sold the gun a year later for $450 without scope.
