Moose herd

Saw 4 moose today at my freinds place. 1 male, no horns, and then a mom and 2 young ones.. Very neat to see, I thought that males were only ever around females during the rut, guess not. His tracks were 6 3/4" long. The Male was not scared at all and could care less we were about 80 yards from him, and the mom and young ones were skidish the second they saw us coming closer. He finally followed them into the woods after 2 minutes or so. That was worth the drive to see, my friend was pretty excited when he phoned to say they were grazing in his field.

No I didn't take any pictures even though I had the camera with me. I was just amazed. Funny the thought didn't even cross my mind ....take a picture...the camera was in my pocket the whole time....that was the reason why I put it there. Oh well. There were also tracks from before last nights small snow fall, maybe I'll still get a picture, next time he comes back.
