View Full Version : Looking for Public Land to Hunt Waterfowl

I've tried searching the forum but I can't seem to find any answers to my question (or maybe I'm just too lazy to look harder). I've done a lot of waterfowl hunting in the past but I'm fairly new to the urban hunting scene in the lower mainland. I started scoping out Pitt March for a good hunting location but I'm also wondering if there are any other places around Ladner (i.e. Westham Island & surrounding area) & also possibly around Chilliwack that would be considered "public land" locations for waterfowl hunting. I'm starting to get the impression that you either have to belong to some exclusive club or go knocking on every farmer's door to get them to sign a permission slip to hunt on their private land. Can anyone tell me if there's any land left that no one privately owns that's open to the hunting public? Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Right on, I appreciate the heads up for some pointers on places I can go without having to sign up with every rod & gun club in the lower mainland or ask for permission from every land owner. I knew this question was probably asked many times before but sometimes it can be difficult to search through the forum to find the answers you're looking for so thanks for the replies & redirects.
