With LEH coming out, thought people could benefit from some tips on how to use iMap BC to see the boundaries of the LEH zones.
Link to iMap BC:
https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/data/geographic-data-services/web-based-mapping/imapbc
Once it’s open here’s how to get the LEH zones on the map:
on the top menu bar click on Data Sources
click on add Provincial Layers
Type in “LEH”
Click on the species you want shown
Zoom in on the map to the area of interest (the layer does not show at all scales on the map)
On the bottom left corner click on “Layers”
Beside the layer you added (ex. “LEH – Caribou – Current Year”) click the arrow pointing right
Click on “Turn on/off layer visualizations”
On the “color” dropdown menu slide the circle to the far left on the checkerboard line to make the layer transparent (easier to see underlying map)
Click “done”
You can change the background maps in the bottom left corner of the map display.
There's lots of other layers you can add as well if you want cutblocks etc, just click "add provincial layers" and search for what you want.
