Wondering if anyone knows a good place to hunt grouse? I live in the lower mainland so the closer the better, but I don't mind travelling. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you find yourself around Prince George before the season closes let me know, I have a couple good spots, you're more then welcome to come along.
Find some nice sunny logging roads. Tall dead grass on the sides, and a young mixed forest surounding. Good Luck!

There's some up the old roads off the chilliwack river - that's pretty close to you. Haven't been up this fall but I was up there a few times this summer, never went a trip without seeing at least one.

If you are ever in the Squamish region I could probably put you on to more than a few spots. Indian River Rd. is closed for the season but is usally good from sept. till end of oct.

Prince george saw a good population of grouse this year. I didn't get an opportunity to shoot one this year because I voted against bringing the .22 (not a good idea, I'm kicking myself now)
I saw a grand total of 51 grouse in one day on a logging road that I'll be going to next year
