Hey BCHunter

the link didnt work so I did a google search.
If I lived closer I probably would, IF I didnt get a moose or deer that year. I would only be interested in the meat hunt. The trophy hunt is a joke! Its a fenced animal who has no chance, hardly a trophy.
There are closer places to get buffalo in BC like Williams Lake or Dawson Creek areas

I'd do it, as long as it's a meat hunt.

I guess it would be ok for putting meat on the table but would be a little lame bragging about the big bison head on your wall.

I can only say it seems like a cheap meat hunt (for buffalo meat) if 2 partners went. Hunting...I wouldn't call it that.

I would say that I would do the meat hunt if I could get the cash. I have no need for a buffalo hide and like already said not much of a trophy on a canned hunt. The pictures would be great though and you could think up a great "trophy" story to go with them. Hahaha.

On foot with a bow might be pretty exciting.

Perhaps if I wanted some buf meat, that is not what I call a fair chase hunt. I agree with ya leftcoast, bow would be the way to go.

I'd be more than OK with it for meat gathering reasons, but if so inclined I think I'd try find a place in BC. My chances for a Bison tag in any other form is slim!!

I don't think they allow "canned hunts" in B.C. For me personally I would not go on one of these "hunts"I like the actual hunting part of a hunt,If I don't get anything well so be it,I would spend my money on beef before shelling out cash to go shoot some fenced in critters. It just doesn't seem right to me.

I would do it for the meat only. It's hardly a trophy. If someone mounted the head, they better leave the rope around its neck :lol

I went on one of your "canned Hunts" for Bison last fall and it took us an hour and a half to find the 47 Bison that were in the 90 Acre woodlot. Once found they took off into the open and did a fair job of avoiding the hunter. It took about another hour to glass and choose the 2 we wanted and to harvest the with a Sako in 340Wby and a Ruger in 338WM. The primery advantage to this kind of hunt is that one does not require tags or rely on a draw. On the way home all one needs is the reciept from the rancher. BONUS, you can use any method you like to harvest your Buff. Drawbacks; Since the border opened up to cattle again, the value of a Buffalo has tripled!  Fred

Not a chance! That is hardly hunting, Maybe just for some fun at filling your freezer but I wouldn't call it hunting. It's more like bulk outdoor grocery shopping.
