[Foxtail]

Loaded up the boat with my brother at 5:45 am. Grabbed my recurve and arrows. Launched boat at 6:20am. Hunting by 7 am. We saw 4 deer all together, 1 was a buck that I tried to go after but he turned into a ghost on me. Started heading back around 2pm in some very nasty weather. Had a fantastic day and can't wait to do it again. I have a few pics...

We beach it too , nice pics and tough with the stick and string . it is how I roll as well ! good for you for getting out . wished many times for my 30 30, but left back at cabin on purpose so as to finally connect with one of those ghosts with my old checkmate . sat for over a hour once watching a big 4 point that would not present a kill shot . I swear he kept every bit of cover between us and made damm sure he did not lose site or smell of his doe . fog came in and we both had to slip away . was a great day . bad weather is the key to pitt .

It did get really rough on the way back to the launch. 6' chop with some bigger rollers. My brother used to work for the coast guard and did his rough water training out of Bamfield... So he believes a boat should be run wide open at all times when travelling. We caught some pretty big ait a few times with the prop even coming out of the water once or twice. Also... Rain hurts your face at 60 mph.
