Start it off happy birthday to me.. Thank you thank you! Now story..
Left 3am to my favorite bear spot. Seen lost of bears this year but nothing to pull the trigger. At first light saw deer feeding. They all a sudden looked down the bank and i saw a bear full gallop running up the hill to the deer snd chassed then down the road and they all scattered. Once the bear stopped, it slowly walked in the thick.
Around 11am saw another bear. It was 328 yards with the range finder. Nice size boar, but still early. Watched it for 30 mins and was getting warm. It ate and slowly walked in the thick up the steep bank only sheep would climb.
Checked more roads out and wanted to wait till 3pm to latet go to a spot i saw a a huge cinnomon bear i saw last week at 5:30pm. Wanted to get there before him. While riding the quad i saw bunch of new deer. Got to 100 yards and it was 5 bucks in velvet together. One buck is already showing trophy status.
Got to my spot to watch the valley. At 4pm i saw that same black bear i saw early morning again feeding same spot. Again it ate and walked in the thick. At 7ishpm i saw a nice but little small chocolate bear come out. Was feeding a bit then stoppef, looked back where it came out. Stood up on its back legs then just b-lined down the bank faster than Rob Ford going to a beer store clearout. It ran so fast i dont even think it touchef the ground. I was thinking ih yeah that big cinnomon is coming out. I waited, and waited and nothing. This time its getting to be 8pm and dark. I decided to start to head home.
Just as i turned the bike around, right behind me 312 yards away another bear out feeding. Put the binos on and this dude has a melon head. I stalked it till 70 yards took a better look and knew it was getting dark. Decided to take it and shot it with my browning a bolt medallion 7mm rem mag hornady 162btsp. The bear spun couple circles walkef fast to the thick. Shot again couple inches higher and saw his shoulder give out and dropped. Now skipping the part about the mess getting the bike close to the bear, putting the bear on and how many times i almost flipped hitting ever stump lets see the pics and you decide.
