Hey everyone, im planning a trip to invermere next weekend with the wife and would like to take her out and show her some elk, maybe get a few pictures. Are the big groups still hanging out down low in the grasslands and fields? or have they started to work their way back up into the hills yet? when do they typicaly begin to disappear from down low? would It be any better to travel a bit further south down around skookumchuk? thanks!

Drive around the Red Rock side .. or go thru to Fairmont on the Westside road ..So ya south for sure . all the way to Kimberly or Cranbrook . but you might find some around Raduim and Brisco too.. not too sure . havent made my way south yet this year .
Up around windermere golf course take the back road if heading south turn left at the bowling alley there will be some in the fields there.
westside to Fairmont as mentioned and the dial a bail fields just past skookumchuck.
Sheep are laying around radium as well if interested.

Saw at least 500+ on the winter range near Wasa yesterday and another massive group near TaTa creek. Take the road out to whitetail lake just north of Canal Flats usually lots up that way.
