This volunteer pen imprinted Chinook smolt program was highly successful restoring the sooke river runs, was it continued? I know people were hoping it would also result in some retention by sports fishermen, but the DFO who were willing enough to see more salmon,rejected the request

The Sooke Chinook enhancement initiative net pens just received 300,000 smolts from the Nitinat Hatchery. Good work! I found it amazing that tagged fish from there have been caught way up by the Aleutian Islands.
